Six Fibre supported the delivery of a large-scale full fibre rollout across Canterbury and Herne Bay as part of nexfibre’s next-generation network expansion.
The project forms part of a wider UK investment in digital infrastructure, delivering ultrafast, future-proof connectivity powered by XGS-PON technology.
Six Fibre delivered a full end-to-end scope of works across both locations, including:
Network survey and detailed design
Intrusive surveys and route validation
Civils works and infrastructure delivery
Subduct installation (150,000m+)
Fibre cabling and blowing (186,000m+)
Installation and testing of 1,500+ distribution points (DPs)
Operating across busy town centres and residential areas, the project presented challenges including tight streets, high traffic volumes, and sensitive heritage roads and pathways. Six Fibre worked in close coordination with local authorities to ensure full compliance while maintaining programme efficiency and minimising disruption to the public.
